Diana has a good waltz here. We danced it to the two recommended songs Play Me the Waltz of the Angels by the Derailers and On the Wings of a Honky Tonk Angel by Brad Martin. Class liked Mexican Wind by Jane McDonald". - ILCW e-mail group July 2007

One of the most satisfying waltzes to dance. A great dance with just the right level of variation to make it stand out from the rest. Looks good and feels good.

Was My Dance Copied? Peter Blaskowski,webmaster/editor of kickit.com, made me aware of a dance called "Angels & Fools" back in July 2006. He had spotted the "new" dance as it was submitted to www.kickit.com and (I don't know how, but he has to be commended) recognised that it appeared step for step almost " identical" to my dance - Angel Star Waltz" - which was already on ickit< site. He added a note to the step sheet saying "this dance was virtually identical to Angel Star Waltz". He did not say that the "choreographer" had copied my dance, just that they were virtually identical, which cannot be disputed. The numbers, the words and even the punctuation were identical, not to mention the use of the word ANGEL in the title. The odds of that happening by mere happenstance seem amazingly long, but maybe the stars have aligned!!! Peter told me that a few days later he received a correction from the choreographer (until then the Headers of the 4 sections matched EXACTLY) - to change "BACK" and "BACK" to "FORWARD" and "FORWARD" (the last steps in sections 3 & 4). So if he did not copy my dance, it seems odd that his original choreography had headers that matched MY dance and not HIS OWN dance! Both Peter and myself received e-mails from the choreographer, seemingly taking exception to the comment and assuring us he did not copy my dance. Peter has left the note on the step sheet and added that MY dance was choreographed in October 2003. It is inevitable that "good steps" will be "re-used" in other dances or even a whole "section", but a "whole dance" is just not the done thing!
Meanwhile - if you read this note - perhaps you will consider teaching/learning and recommending MY dance Angel Star Waltz".
Cheers Footnote: Many thanks to Peter Blaskowski of www.kickit.com for first spotting the "similarity" of the dances and recording the fact on the step sheet in question. Also to Cathleen Bossaller of San Diego, California for also spotting the similarity, her e-mails expressing her strong feelings on "copying" and support by teaching MY dance, recommending it to others and voting for it on Kickit
