He did not say that the "choreographer" had copied my dance, just that they were virtually identical, which cannot be disputed. The numbers, the words and even the punctuation were identical, not to mention the use of the word ANGEL in the title. The odds of that happening by mere happenstance seem amazingly long, but maybe the stars have aligned!!!

Peter told me that a few days later he received a correction from the choreographer (until then the Headers of the 4 sections matched EXACTLY) - to change "BACK" and "BACK" to "FORWARD" and "FORWARD" (the last steps in sections 3 & 4). So if he did not copy my dance, it seems odd that his original choreography had headers that matched MY dance and not HIS OWN dance!

Both Peter and myself received e-mails from the choreographer, seemingly taking exception to the comment and assuring us he did not copy my dance.

Peter has left the note on the step sheet and added that MY dance was choreographed in October 2003.

It is inevitable that "good steps" will be "re-used" in other dances or even a whole "section", but a "whole dance" is just not the done thing!

Meanwhile - if you read this note - perhaps you will consider teaching/learning and recommending MY dance Angel Star Waltz".
It was originally choreographed to "Play Me The Waltz of the Angels" by the Derailers, quite a slow tune, ideal for beginners/improvers to learn basic waltz steps. The dance works well to many other waltz tracks of gentle to mid tempo, and does not need to be tied down to any one particular piece of music. However, a favourite of ours is the Jim Reeves Waltz Medley by The Deans.
