Mexican Hat Dance Step

9&10                     Tap right heel forward. Bring right to place and tap left heel forward

&11-12                     Bring left to place and tap right heel forward. Clap hands

 

Tush Push

13-14                     Push hips forward twice

15-16                     Push Hips back twice

17-18                     Push hips forward. Push hips back

Shuffle Steps and Rock Steps

21&22                     Right shuffle forward stepping - Right, Left, Right

23-24                     Rock forward on left. Rock back on right

This is a classic line dance which has been a firm favourite with everyone ever since  Jim created it in 1981.

Section 3 shows how the dance got its name "Tush Push" from the original call. However this section is often

referred to as the "Bump & Grind" as the original hip movements now make way for an assortment of hip rolls,

thrust, bumps, grinds or whatever else takes your fancy
